Default Full body IK

I'm sorry if this has been talked about before, but I am trying to get good at rigging and would like to be a creature TD someday. My question is what do people think of full body IK. Is it give you more power or take control away? Just in general what do people think?

Load of shit in my opinion , i hate animating with it.
If you want to be a rigger you need to able to make every kind of rig for every kind of animator. Some animators will prefer full body for posing some won't so if you want to TD then learn it all and try and understand what people expect from a rig and learn huge amounts of anatomy .
