Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Maya, from Lightwave

Hi,

just joined and just started to work through Maya's own built in tutorials - very basic modelling.

I'm studying Lightwave at uni but am keen to learn Maya as it's used much more in the industry, though at the moment I'm much more familiar with Lightwave.

Just wondered if anyone else has came to Maya from lightwave and what were the greatest differences/difficulties they encountered. Also, as a learner, I plan to go through Maya's own tutorials and then look to others - unless anyone suggests that I would be better using 3rd party tutorials right away.

Thanks.
