Default Sea Captain

Hi,

I trying create a male 'sea captain' to animate. Would really appreciate critz regarding modeling and suggestions how to texture him. Would like to learn how to use sss skin shader and sky system for lighting.

Good work so far man, any chance of a low poly wireframe?

For the SSS skin theres a free video (well its really 3 videos) tutorial on it from gonomon.

Try broadening the base of the jaw and the cheek bones a little.

Other than that, it looks more than similar to the one on the site that vladimerjp quoted... Is that your model? They're exactly the same.
