Fur/Hair

For a model with hair, lets say . . . human head, what do I do to make the fur not cover the whole face as well as the crown and top of the head? Which slot do I apply the map to in the fur or hair options? (Supposing that I've already UV'ed it and it all works out fine for the colour)
thanks in advance guys,
Chris

Hey there Bobalie,

you need to map the baldness attribute of the fur.

THIS LINK will take you to my hair and fur minisite, it has a few tutorials on the basics of hair and fur. Under the fur menu there is a tutorial on attribute mapping which should help you out.

Let me know if it's useful,

Mat.

I just did a tutorial, and it has been easy to follow, yet more importantly completely invaluable! Thank you so much!
