Default Set default to creat shape

I'd really like my 8.5 version to begin by creating a shape instead of me having to drag for size each time I create a new polygon or nurb.

Am I missing a simple check box in preferences anywhere?

Thanks,

CaptM

Under Create>Whatever Primitive>Interactive Creation. Uncheck this.

It's not in the preferences , it's located at the bottom of the create primitive menu.Uncheck interactive creation, note there are two one for the poly primitives and one for the nurbs primitives.
