Default Mental Ray in 2008 problem

In Maya 2008, whenever I add a transparency map and render it in Maya Software it renders normally, but when I render in Mental Ray, the transparency map has no effect. has anyone encountered this? Is there a setting I have to change for this to work or something?

Default Mental ray with Maya 2008

Yes I am facing the same problem also when you do a batch render in Maya 2008 with Mental Ray it crashes after rendering one frame. Are you listening Autodesk prgrammers and Mental Ray programmers, Please fix the bug.....

Hi calvin, it could be your file format of the transprancy map, MR somethimes dosent like cirtian file formats.

As for rendering one frame and crashing, ive not had that problem??
