Check out this thread discreet has dropped thier price for combustion2.1 from $4999.00 to $999.00

Combustion rocks. In many ways, I like it better than After Effects. Clean, efficient interface, works incredibly well with a tablet, and it feels like a production tool. I still don't know it well enough to be really productive, but I'm working on it.
