Talking what is the right light setting for a scene.....

i will like to know the number and types of lights one needs in his or her scene to bring out good rending results.not forgetting their intensity...
and the positions their should be.....

Not a simple question to answer since there are many different formulas/systems/setups, etc. Also depends on the type of look you are going for.

Generally speaking, i encourage you to google "3 point light system". It's a system that is the basis for many lighting setups.
Don't be satisfied with what you can do but rather strive to do the things you can't do!
