Default first project that im going to complete

something simple a sword

Got kinda stuck with the skull

this is it atm..i really gotta learn how to use shaders

Looks nice! You may want to turn up the antialiasing settings in your render globals window. Whack that setting up to production quality on your final render to smooth the edges off.

yup i just learnt about that..cheers heres another pic..

haven't changed the model much (ok at all) just playing with osme shaders

it's kinda dark in the pic too, are you using maya's default lighting? You need to add more lights to really bring the scene to life.

Also take a look at the current competition threads. there are some really nice swords in there and you can read some of the comments and crits that people have made there to give you an idea of things to add to your sword.

Well done though keep it up
