Exclamation quick help please!

hey there
i bought the ORC modelling tut but can't do much because maya is screwing me over with the image planes.

all of the windows shown are set to show texture but everytime i open maya only one window does so. the window out of the 4 tends to change each time.

is there an explanation?

i'm using maya 2010, and i have a great system.

Nvidia GTX 285. it's a smashing video card. i also have a quad core 17 processor and 12 GB ram.

it's NOT a slow or out of date computer.

i'm updating the drivers now though. thanks for the input
