Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Dents in attached meshes?

Hey guys,

I posted this in the newbie lounge but someone told me to move it to modeling so... anyways, I've been working on a character (who I've started again 3 time cuz of this) and whenever I attach the arm and the leg to the body there are dents? Anybody got a solution? user added image

It looks like you might have some internal faces that you'll need to delete. Otherwise, make sure the edges are soft by selecting the joining edges and Normal > Soften Edge.
