Normals will not Harden

Hey guys

I imported a mesh (right) and merged it to another mesh (left).

Now its one object, the faces don't seem to 'Harden' on imported part, it looks like the 'smooth' option.

I've Deleted History, exported and imported back in, re Hardened. Is there anything else I can try?

Its nothing major, I just want to know why.

Thanks guys
