books on modeling, joints and rigging?

Hi. I was wondering if anyone could tell me a decent book or even video series that covers all the above but starts with the basics as well. I can model decently but I want to rig and start the animation process as well. I'm looking for something that corresponds with maya 2012 though. I've read that cheating in maya is a decent one. I've been trying to follow a few but the versions are newer or older and some things work and some do not i.e. tabs, controls, etc, so it must cover 2012. Thanks in advance.
