Default why do my nurbs decrease smoothness whenever I dolly/move/scrub/etc??

Whenever I dolly/move/scrub/etc the nurbs decrease smoothness and then after i stop they smooth out again. It seems like it does that to speed things up when im working. but i dont think i set an option to do that unless i did it by accident. help~

You have fast interaction turned on. Turn it off by choosing Display>Fast Interaction.
