Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

how to make this?

https://www.thegnomonworkshop.com/tut...s_uniform.html

this is Ragecgi has pasted before.

I wanna know how to make this effect,

"This can be accomplished by baking lighting into the textures on an object, then getting the surface to emit particles which inherit color from the baked texture. With a nice animated transparency map the surface can disappear while a similar animated map controls the emission of the dust particles. By randomizing the mass of the particles with a creation expression (i.e./particleShape.mass = rand(1,5)) and applying a Uniform field"

I can do the "animated transparency map the surface" part, but
the others,I don't know how to make it.

"particle color is derived from a file texture created by baking the vase's shading group lighting. "

I don't get it.
please tell me.

In your particle shape, under the "Add dynamic Attributes",
Click the COLOR box, and add a "Shader" to the particles with that "baked" texture in the color slot of the shaderuser added image

Is that what you meant?

...sorry if I am dense this morninguser added image
