Default flak explosions

ok,
ive seen some flak explosions
--
they blow up like a normal explosions then bits of debris go flying out taking some of the cloud with them
--
any ideas on how to do this ?

I'd imagine you could model debris pieces and use particle instancing to replace particles with them.

In my VIP Explosions tuts, I cover a few ways to do this as well.

But Mike hit it on the head, as instancing is the main way to have total control over your flak generation, and dynamic interaction
