Default Help With Spas 12 model

Im working on one with a tutorial that was made for milkshape3d, all was going well till i hit the shoulder thing witch has little holes though it. I have no idea ho to accomplish this in maya.

Have you tried using booleans?

Thanks was looking for that, didn't now the name. Mapping programs just call it subtract .
