Unhappy Upgarde Prices - Groans and Moans...

These are the upgrade prices for 3DS MAx 6 :
from 3ds max 5 $795;
from 3ds max 4 $1295;
and from 3ds max 3 $1495

Now Max costs 3495 U$

so that would be: 22 % , 37 % & 42 %

in our case (maya complete which is more or less like 3Ds Max )

you pay 895 U$from 4.5 to 5 and this gives: 44 % (!!!!)
so I pay 200 % for my upgrade than the 3DS Maxer .

Now some would say - yes but maya is 50 % of 3DS MAx.

this has nothing to do - PhotoShop also costs about 20-25 % of the full liscense price.

If ALIAS bother to read this forum IT IS ABOUT TIME !

(and I wouldn't mind if Maya got some of the niftiest modeling tools that MAX has and Maya doesn't.
