Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Wacom Volito or other cheap tablets

I was thinking of getting me a cheap tablet for texturing etc. I am not in a position to buy something like an Intuos 2, but I saw this Wacom Volito that was very cheap. I wonder if any of you have any experience with it or some other cheap tablet that you can recommend. Size is not much of an issue.

Thanks.

I'd go for cheaper make than Wacom. I've got a Wacom Graphire3 Classic (A6) and love it, but if you want a tablet for less then get a trust or other make.

AipTek's I have found to be very reliable. It was $140 USD for a 12"x9" great for textureing.

I have a few friends with Trusts, they seem pretty nice. I will however probably opt for the smaller volito because of the lack of battery in the pen. I also prefer a small tablet to a large one.

nice choice fredriksson, that's what i have too (but mine's white). i was going to tell you to go for the graphire... only 95 usd and more than enough for anything i need.

i've seen the big intuos's, and besides being really expensive, you honesltly need another desk just for the tablet.

This is the slightly cheaper Volito, with basicly the same tablet, pen and a inferior mouse (that is still in the box, where it is most useful). I'm very happy with it.
