3d Artist Magazine

Hey guys you seen this magazine abouts in shops near you?

I saw the first issue in my local WH Smiths (a big bookshop/newsagent type place for anyone foreign to Blighty) Didnt get is as I had a flick thorugh that and then 3d world and well, loyalites and it looked better side by side.

But just wondered if anyone gets it and what do they think?

Cheers

Steve

Issue #47 is 3D Artist magazine's final issue

kinda upsetting, i reckon i spose it would be pretty hard to compete against 3d world cheers for the heads up though

Hey Steve

yeah I have the first two, if you see 3d world now as well you'll see they have been frightened by the new mag and upped the size of the mag and its content too.

Redvision were in issue two, and I'll be on the cd in issue 3

Jay

Yeah, I couldn't resist...lol, Got the second issue yesterday and liked it, wanted a Gallery somewhere and you can upload quite large file sizes (4mb) so thought why not! Just wish I had more to put on there, will have to get working!

I like it - gives you alot of wip of the final images it uses in the mag which is a very cool feature (nice to see how they did it).

But there site is rubbish - half of it not working. Tried to creat an account - but I cant activate it - keeps telling me my password is wrong - when I know its right.
So created a second account - same problem. - Then when I try and email them about it - the email does not work.

The forgot password only gives you the hint - I know its new but come on get the basics right..

Jay - will have to keep a eye out for that one

I bought the mag today too
the content on the disk seems better than 3d world but I cant see any reason to buy the mag over 3d world
First impressions are that id rather buy 3d world, mental roy just clinches it for me (and its also a lot cheaper to subscript to if you dont want to use direct debit)

that is only if you pay by direct debit though and I find you often have trouble canceling the sub if you do

tell your bank to stop it if they don`t listen. As long as you have a copy of your email/letter asking you to stop the service there is nothing legally they can do

I guess, but why would they make direct debit so much cheaper if they didnt have malicious intentions, and that just puts me off, it makes me feel as though they dont deserve my money
then again its probably the policy of the publisher, not the individual magazine

...no offense user added image

i signed up ok, the statement said "we will deduct £1 over 3 issues" its legit... (in case you thought it was a scam)

the only problem is that it failed the first time but was ok the sencond time.
