Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Selection settings

Hi!
When I'm modeling in shaded mode and try to click on some edges or faces it always takes the edges/faces/objects on the backside of that what I really wanted to select. Is there any option where I could change this?

Looking forward to hear from you.

Hpld down the Q-key and press the left mouse button. A pie menu will open - check "camera based selection".

This will select objects that are closest to the canera and will help to avoid pick larger objects that are farther away.

The other option is make a layer and put all the geometry you do not want to pick in that layer and make the layer a reference layer.
