help with a model

I need help with modeling the bottom half of this ship/character. I have already finished the arms and engine pods I just need some advice on what I should use in terms of nurbs/polys for the body of the character.

Looks like a good model

Be better if you posted the render from maya so that we can see it better.

For the legs I would just use polys as thats my prefered workflow, also if its going to be a hard surface then I would always go with polys (again my workflow)

well thats just the concept art user added image I have finished all the parts I mentioned and I am just stuck on the parts I mentioned user added image.
