Ferrari tutorial result

Hi, been playing with Maya for a few months now. Did the Ferrari tutorial here's what I got afterwards.

I really learned a lot from doing this tutorial. I think i'll touch up the exterior to make it closer match the real car and start on the interior as well.

Whoa dude! if thats your first model you ought to be proud of yourself!, my first model was of a hammer and it was like 20 polys - it took me most of the day to get my head round it!

This must be a corker of a tutorial

thanks for the kind words guys :p

Anyway this was like my third model, I think I'd have a snowball's chance in hell of following this tutorial if I was completely new to Maya.

Rob, I wasn't really expecting your post on this so needless to say I'm pleasantly suprised. Oh yeah and I'm glad you liked my replica :attn:

I do have a few suggestions regarding your tutorial though, I'm not sure if you'd want me to post them here so just drop me a line at blli@ucdavis.edu and we can talk more.

the hood edges look a little round, i would maybe put more lines around the edge to sharpen it or adjust the current ones closer together.

instead of | | | this |||

and i notice a lot of gaps in the headlights and a lot around the car, but its your first car and just learning and that is very nice work

Well guys after doing this Polygon car I decided to experiment with Nurbs some. Found this Porche tutorial online w/ nurbs and been doing that. Here's the semi finished wheel. I am trying to find a good material for the tires, any suggestion is certainly appreciated.
