Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

How to fix normal/UV of a posed and combined character geo?

I got a combined character geo model to work on and I am not sure how to fix the problem. The UV looks somewhat ok lay outed so I went ahead and brought it into mudbox for some texturing.

Unfortunately, I keep getting a error saying that there are "UV faces crossing tile boundaries".....and showing up normal of the armor piece here facing X while the next sets of normal facing the opposite, -X. I tried to select faces and do a normal/confirm but nothing seems happen

So my question is there a way to sort out besides tearing it apart? One difficulty also is that the model has been posed and I don't have access to the original t-pose.

Please let me know what you think, thanks!
