Metropolis Fever -finally finished:-)

sup Chats,

So yes another major release finally finished. When I say major release I don't mean those 2 week cheesy projects I do on weekends I mean another half a year animation that took weeks of planning, storyboarding, and mayaing. It's fun making these but I think I'm startin to get a bit old and getting interest in other things so might be last release for a long time.

anyways it's meant to be about a completely ridiculous and overkilled car chase between a Lamborghini murcielago and Enzo Ferrari. here it is:

https://youtube.com/watch?v=0XP51Rea5jA

Again, the youtube compression really disappointed me as far as quality and sound but gotta roll with it.
I wanna thank all you guys that helped out with my questions and hope you guys like it,

-Dan

Well it is a completly ridiculus OTT car chase!

Can tell its taken a long time. I think a few bits could have been thought out a bit better as it was confusing in places as to what and why things were happening, I could crit more but as its a huge project I wont, over all nice going.

nice piece of work danotronXX, very much OTT but thats obviously what you wanted user added image

I like a lot of the camera angles and shots, they help sell the overall thing.
You could probably cut a bit out to reduce the length but thats entirely based on getting the run length down a fair bit (I was getting a bit bored at the end).
The characters are probably the weakest part, bringing the overall polish down a little but if you ever revisited it you could easily splice better sequences in.

overall well done user added image

That was one of the greatest things i have ever seen.
It was kinda like if the Matrix and The Blues Brothers had a threesome with Need for Speed then they baby they had became addicted to cocaine.
My favorite part was when the truck exploded and the barrels rained down on the city. I couldn't stop laughing the entire way through. The thing that bugged me was the voices. They were all really hard to understand and seemed really deep pitch (Unnaturally deep).
Other than that it was awesome user added image

oh... also, did the guy who exploded out of the truck say "Howsit going'?

LOL thats hilarious way to put it:-)

but thanks for the compliments/crits.
yea he says how you doin'. Thought these little comic reliefs would help stabilize the whole flik a bit.
And also I apologize for the sound of the quotes they are hard to hear. On the HD version it's very crisp and clear but it's amazing how much is lost by the youtube compression. Oh well when I screen it this week it'll be a lot better.

another thing, OTT stands for? ... Overkilled Total ... cant figure it out

ha ha ha - that was totally stupid and awesome. yeah - it was a tad long, the characters were a bit weak and the city looked a little empty in places (esp. the subway), but overall that was just really, really, ****ing excellent!user added image

haha thanks I really appreciate your honest thoughts.
It's interesting many of you found it too long. I guess when it comes to pure action you can only keep it for a short time before it turns into soap. Maybe if i added a bit more of a storyline it might of made it more interesting. I'll definitely keep it in mind for the next flik i decide to do.
