Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

No Mental Ray! HELP!

Hey,

I have a problem with Mental Ray. Here's my issue:

About a month ago, I had two 3d programs installed: Maya 6.0 Unlimited and 3dsmax 6. At this time, Mental Ray for Maya was a selectable renderer in Maya 6.0 UL.

Since then, I re-installed my copy of WindowsXP (as I normally do every 2-3 months).

I installed Maya 6.0 Unlimited, but did NOT install 3dsmax 6.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well, I loaded Maya up, and found out that I no longer had Mental Ray for Maya!!!! Could it be that I didn't have 3dsmax 6 installed??? I thought that Maya came with Mental Ray for Maya. Isn't this a little strange? I've attaced am image file of my problem.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Do you think that if I install 3dsmax 6, that this will fix this issue and that I will have Mental Ray for Maya again????

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!! HELP!!!

Thank you.
