Where can I find the escape key MEL script?

I know that there is a script somewhere probably on High End 3d that will let you use the escape key when a mel script is excuting thus stopping it dead. Does anyone know the URL I have tried searching but it's a needle in the haystack situation! user added image

workaround could be (if the mel script has a often repeated loop) to declare a variable, so you can stop it before the loop finished.

but the thing is that if it's running a script you cant stop it. If you touch the keyboard or mouse then it's bye bye maya. user added image
