Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

gster123 - thanks user added image I'm looking forward to seeing how your island turns out - reminds me of laupta: castle in the sky by the ghibli studios (https://www.onlineghibli.com/films.php).
If you get a chance to watch it then it might influence how the overgrown aspect could look user added image

thanks arran user added image I'm hoping it all goes nicely and is a little cooler than it has been recently. Still its good to get acclimatised to what Italy will be like. Good luck with your building scene - I think its going to look great once its textured and you've played about with lighting!

You've got a real good concept with this setting, can't wait to see an indepth train design.
