Complex UV Layout in Maya
Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

mobile suit

well it doesn't look like anything so far but i decided to post something on it up. this is his upper body so far. workin on his legs right now and then i'll add more to the torso. i'm planning on loading this guy up with massive guns user added image ...

note: all my previous attempts at any mechanical/car models have been failures but i plan on breaking through on this model (hopefully) so stay tuned user added image .

Its a mech?

Might wanna goto normals>Soften|Harden and harden all the edges. It will help with the rough mech look, then smooth out what you need.

haven't worked on this guy in about a week but did a little work today... made his head and starting his arms... there aren't any hands yet.
