Light Radius

Hey guys,

I have a little problem with my scene, I don't seem to find an option to limit a radius of a light.
I am placing a point light and it lights the entire scene when I really want it to light only the close surroundings.
I have already placed a photo and a more detailed description of my problem here: https://forums.simplymaya.com/showthr...&threadid=7837

Would appriciate any help user added image

Thanks!

Set the light's decay rate (attribute editor) to something else than "no decay". You'll propably need to increase the Intensity as well...

...or use volume lights...

It worked! thanks man user added image
I used a point light (omni lights don't seem to have a decay option... right?)
Anyways, what's the benefit of using a volume light there instead?

Thanks a lot for your help!
