Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

Maya Users Group (MUG?)

I'm interested in starting a Maya Users' Group in Oahu, Hawaii. Are there any Hawaii users here that might be interested? If so please email me.

I would also be interested to hear about other MUGs in different areas. Maybe some lessons learned on setting up and running such a group? Pros and cons? Actually anything on MUGs would probably be helpful.

So any MUGgers (sorry couldn't resist the pun) out there or any interested in setting up such a group?

Vladimir,
I see from the meetup site that your group was founded in oct '03. From your experience, has the group been active enough to make it worthwhile? I ask, becuase to my knowledge there isn't one here on Oahu, so I think I'll be the one to kick it off. I'm already researching a venue to hold meetings in.

I think a MUG would be a great place to network and learn form each other (similar to what we do online here on SM). Oahu doesn not seem to have a large Maya user population, or at least I haven't found where there hiding user added image

SM has over 40,000 registered user, surely there are a couple more from Hawaii :o

[Edit] For those of you jeolous... get over it user added image I'm only here because the Navy made go here. Plan to return to San Diego when I retire in '07.

It all seams a bit far away over in the USA, any MUGger's local to Essex in the UK. London is only an hour from where I am so that would easy enough for me to attend.
