after batch render? what program do i edit/composite in?

I have batch rendered a camera shot from my final animation but wish to render more camera shots of the scene & then view & edit these & place in order to create a final film. is there a way of editing & puting final renders in order in the program maya ( i know that u can view them in fcheck) or do you have to use a seperate compositing/ editing program, I have used adobe premier in the past, but what editing programs are relavent to maya? any advice would be great ta user added image

Maya (with the exception of 2010) doesn't have compositing capabilities. No version has the capacity for video editing, though you might be able to do some tricky stuff switching between cameras, but not worth the effort.

I use premier, if you're on a mac you can use final cut, after effects would probably allow you to do compositing and combining shots, but I haven't used it before... so the short answer is, continue to use premier, that's fine.

Compositing is the process of combining render passes, adding effects, etc. Editing is about moving video and composites around. No one compositor, besides the one that comes with 2010, is really built for Maya.

If what you're asking is how to bring the image sequences into premier, you can find information here: https://www.animationsforvideo.com/html/imptsprem.htm

Hopefully this answers your question.
