Complex UV Layout in Maya
Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

Here is an update, thanks for the C and C, I am adding to many filters in Photoshop, getting a little carried away. Sorry. I am trying to go for a "goopy" mud. Still needs some texture work, especially on the back of the spare tire, (sorry forgot about that) Thanks,
Brian

Brian, this may be a stupid question but, how are you doing the seams for the door and the hood (the outlines that define them)?

Also regarding the mud, I think it's a great start, though, for my eyes, it's a bit too even on the tires...some of the black should be showing through. Or, if the idea that the jeep has been driving through some extreme fresh mud (ala one of the jurassic islas after a monsoon), then the red rims should be completely muddy also).

Excellent modeling, though!

I like the first (14-01-2003 04:49 PM) image better but perhaps it's a bit too reddish?
