Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Hi bullet1968

I think your problem is about the normals. Though i suggest you to check normals of duplicated object.
To view the correct normals uncheck the Two Sided Lighting in the Lighting menu.

If some surfaces turn to black, its normals is incorrect.
Select them and go to the Poligons menu->Normals-> Reverse and and check the results.

Ok mate, thanks, I have posted some changes I made to the model.

Cheers Bullet

No mate they are all cool, I changed all surfaces to lambert 1 so that seems to have fixed it BUT I will keep your advice in mind, thanks again.
