Under the hood... craphicscards...

It would be interesting if we could get some sampling of what everyones graphic cards has under the hood, with some pros/cons comments to help make informed decisions about hardware

maybe we could design a test scene or something and bench em...

hey

Radeon 9800 pro. Works like clockwork. Also like someone said i forget who it was Tomshardware is great. got to Tomshardware.com then click on graphics cards on the left side then click on VGA charts III and finally scroll down and choose a game, i like call of Duty and they will give u all the FPS for the game. Its very helpful.

Geforce FX 5900 XT modded to Quadro FX 3000....works like a dream and out performs my previous Radeon 9800 pro that I had modded to a Fire GL X2....jesus that thing was buggy ... it would crash maya on heavy scenes every 20 minutes...and it has no supported hardware renderer in the viewport (which is one of the cool maya 6 features) ...so dump the radeon and get a GF FX 5900 xt and softquadro it!!!
