Dirack -- Newbie entry -- Promachus

Hey there, I think I'll be entering this challenge, and since my modeling skills are, ahum, quite less than noteworthy, I'll be doing newbie level user added image. I will try to construct the ancient city of Promachus, the capital city of something I must think off.... It's greek / roman style and the citizens are advanced but tree-hugging types, so they all use an alternative energy source... and more I'm not yet going to reveal yet.. (perhaps I haven't gotten a clue yet user added image ).

Number 2...
Btw: I'm still at 5700 polies unsmoothed now... quite low for my work :p But that will triple or something when I add a lot of roman statues to the scene... and the smoothing won't be pleasant for my comp either.. but that's all post creation. Anways I'm having fun! user added image

Definately play around with the lighting more 'cause they're rather dark user added image

Otherwise it looks like a good start...

very nice start. Watch to make sure you don't make it so complex it makes it hard on you when you texture.

and a little more light would be nice.

Keep going good becouse I think you have some good ideas there.

Bah, I'm getting the feeling I'm doing too much, and that I will stop after I reach a certain point... user added image And the faces are piling up because of the columns as well (10091!) And they'll rise even further when I'm going to smooth and statue the place user added image comments?
