Me...when I do stuff on the computer, I just LOVE trance and beats.
I listen to underground hip-hop and rap aswell, really like it. (And that is not what is played in the radio...I can't stand any Radio-hiphop other than Eminem and Kaney West (sp?).

Practicly hate every bit of POP (maybe nearly everythibng else) that is played on the radio.

You sound like the people on BBoy.org ranting about solja boy.
Completely agreed with that...

PS: Offtopic, but have you heard how a 10 year old kid tried to kill Solja Boy by throwing a stone at him when he was riding in the van/bus. Missed him by a meter. Don't worry kid, you'll hit him next time!

from FFX Servants of the Mountain (the track that plays in Mt Gagazet) sticks with me like umm... something really sticky but in a good way....

the FF7 and 9 soundtracks are the best imo
most notable being Cid Highwind's theme and the variations and You're Not Alone which was played in the most awesome scene to ever be scripted

i'll appriciate the music more if it's first shown with a scene or footage that matches it all too well

Loads of stuff, from Metallica to Simon and Garfunkel and from The Klaxons to The Kinks.

At the moment I'm listening to Why? a lot. The two albums, Elephant Eyelash and Alopecia are two of the best I've heard in years. I keep trying to press them on people, but noone seems to like them as much as I do.

If anyone has heard of them it'd be interesting to hear what you think.

pretty big into techno but mainly stick to ministry of sound/tiesto/oakenfold/van dyk/crystal method...

LOVE the OC Remix.

for rock - disturbed, collective soul, yes, extreme, NIN, lacuna coil, evanescence, foo fighters, garbage, etc.

i'm sure everyone could find different ways to classify NIN into all kinds of genres with the different types of styles trent has incorporated, (hell most of the halos are just singles with a crapload of techno-like remixes) but i lump rock with rock...

punk, funk, industrial, metal, alternative, indie, it's all rock-n-roll to me, man.

I generally dont like Pop and Rap and so on.
Some of my favorites include...

-Velvet Underground (Massive influence when i 'try' to play Guitar)
-The Violent Femmes
-System Of A Down
-CAKE
-Bob Dylan
-The Beatles
-Rolling Stones
-Offspring
-The Presidents of the United States of America
-Joy Division
-Nirvana

I like to stay open to other bands though.

For some reason todays music doesn't do much or me. I enjoy 70's and 80's rock alot better. I started loosing intrest in modern rock rock when alternative rock hit the scene back in the 90's.

Seems like alot of bands copy each other these days.

Any thoughts on this?

everyone's "selling out" and going to the whole emo thing now... just giving the rich bratty kids what they want to hear... thats my opinion at least...

I have heard of EMO but never made effort to find out what it was about. What it EMO all about?
