I can remember that I was barely able to finance my beloved bad habbits at that time (admittedly, I didn't have too many good habbits way back when).

um... not really. I was at siggraph in 2001 but couldn't afford any of the maya classes, and didn't go to their party. I hung around their booth a lil... does that count? :p
