Complex UV Layout in Maya
Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

I did a bit of Googling for you and came up with this list, hope it may help, the biggest of the company's in this list is probably Escape Studios, but although the others quote specialist areas or programs, some may do Gaming specific training too.

https://www.emagister.co.uk/training/...v-1827-415.htm

Hope it helps Coldwave, it's a start anyway!

some of those on the list are CAD or visualisation training centres not games specific.

I think many of the universities are lagging behind in 3D. I know people who trained at uni and know very little about maya, they said their tutors were learning at the same time they were, but staying a couple of lessons ahead of the class!

bournemouth is good (not in london)

i think swansea is good (not in england)

Lol, that's why I wrote "but although the others quote specialist areas or programs, some may do Gaming specific training too.", that list doesn't show everything that each place does, some of them do actually teach 3d, it's just not shown in that particular list.
I just didn't edit the page to show only 3d courses, thought that would have been pretty obvious.....

I figured Coldwave was clever enough to read the list and take what he needed from it.

Lol, fair enough dango, i only looked at the first 5 or 6 and none were relevant except escape.

Ravensbourne was one of the universities i was talking about and Sprunt is an architecture firm on Wardour street.

btw, escape is basically and autodesk training centre so they provide a certificate of completion nothing more... maybe a t-shirt user added image

im currently applying for unis. iv been looking for a while, and there isnt much in london im afraid.

Escape studios is surpose to be 3rd in some kind of best place to learn 3d animation chart, but is not a uni as such just a training program.

bournmouth is the national center of animation and offers a wide range of courses, and also has alot of funding. They have an open day on the 17th of october.

The one i best like at the moment is hertfordshire university, although its not geting all this funding from skill set and all that it really does produce some good work (world war, tidy monster and a tale of rock) it just seems to be getting better and better fast. also its a little closer to london. they do a games course a 3d animation 2d animation and a visual effects. so yeah thats my favourite at the moment, and going to an open day on the 10th of october.

Looks like i babled on a bit about herfordshire hey, but i like them user added image

good luck
