Complex UV Layout in Maya
Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

UV Mapping & Texturing

Right now I'm in admist rigging a character that is not textured, which I hope to soon remedy.

The one thing I am wondering since this character has been combined into one geometry. Would separating the parts, mapping the UV's then combining the character work. Or would it reset the UVs of the objects? I'm thinking no, but I want to make sure of that first.

Thanx.

UVs should survive.
