Looking good Hammer, personally I prefer the first of the two last pictures you posted, I think because it's clearer to see the shapes of the barrel. But the last one you posted looked a bit more realistic, so maybe somewhere inbetween?

Good work anyhow!

And thanks Kuj4K, I'm doing what I can with the time I've had, (not a lot!) Glad you like it!

aaah, pushed the wrong keys and killed the post page and so yeah.. starting again..

this is going to be my last post with pictures because i dont have a chance to work on this for the comp after this point here

a bit about the weapon...

the weapon is an axe with two blades
it has a hidden gun, the gun fires as a single shot gun, so it's not semi auto or full auto.
it fires ordinary.. umm... 45mm lead bullets (unlimited ammo and no reload time..... :p)
the weilder of this weapon carries two (so he has four blades and two guns) and can join them at the butt end to form a halberd-like weapon, or open an end up to fire a shoulder mounted energy weapon.

made a very quick and crude playblast of the weapon switching between axe and gun form

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZDmQLflAS3I

sorry...this is probably going to be my longest post... lots of close ups of the weapon

this took just over 32 minutes to render... at 640x480 res... must be all the glossyness to the reflections

Ok you have 23 thousand triangles and it's not looking too good one thing i notice by first sight are the edges they are oval not define. Look @ the revolver every edge is hard not oval and it gives the feeling of right structure and metal effect. Baisicly i mean that you need more practice @ hard surface modeling.

Anyway Gj keep it uP user added image

p.s i suck @ texturing too user added image

well, actually i know what i did wrong. I smoothed it insted of smooth previewed it. and then saved it (opps). And i dont feel like re making the whole thing..........so im just leaving it so its stuck in smooth it was alot less tris.....so yea......this model is kind of a **** up.....

it would have been good to see the un-smoothed version... is there no history on it then? because you can change the subdivision level to 0 and it will be un-smoothed.
