Typically me, I just decided that I want to be able to open its mouth, so I just wasted 20 mins of UV work, but hey, it might look cool with an open mouth.. atleast I will now have the option, right ? user added image

Ok .. after making the beak "solid" - heres the new UV map.

Now I had to take a different approach to the UVmapping, so instead of the planar projection I decided to separate the beak from the head in the UV map, to make it easier to paint the texture..

Thats a much nicer layout. Should make texturing more intuitive. Plus the model is looking great!

Yeah, good job! The model is looking great - very clean and simple - and the parrot colours are spot on.

sorry to hear that calligraphics - your model was looking cool. Work is a pain! Hope you find some time to get back into it.
