Everyone has their own way of working but you might find it easier if you don't work with so many faces so early on. I'm only saying this because it's a mistake i used to make and made life alot harder than it needed to be. I think while your getting the basic shape and proportions laid out you might want to half the number of faces your using and then either cut or smooth the model later on to increase the number of faces again.

Good Luck.

It's coming along well. However if your follow that first image i think this area is just muscle on his chest although i could be mistaken. But thats just me being picky so it doesen't really matter.

Maybe you copied my idea user added image. Well good luck. I'd like to see it. Would be nice to compare them. I think you are going to win at least the texturing. Because I still don't know how to do that the easiest way.

Texturing of organics s*cks this is what I have so far. Probably because this is the first time I am using photoshop. it looks ridiculus it has ruined my model.

mate - don' t say such thing. what did U expect? first attempt nearly allways fails. just don' t give up. U do a really good work here!

your model looks clean and sterile, that' s maybe what is disappointing U. but perhaps you might add some details on the geometry, or maybe bumpmap. with some ununiformly detail U´ll see there will be a whole different appearence of the creature. and hey - U have allmost 2 months time for texturing m8, don' t forget that!

everything starts and ends in the right place at the right time.
