Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

Nice concept, only one thing though. Do you think that the robot would be able to balance itself with only two claws on each leg?

Very nice dude, quite an original idea for a function. I like the first work you've done too.
Yeah as said above, maybe more claws per 'leg' is better.

Cool concept. user added image I personally like the legs in the renderering without the claws better than the concept drawing.

Cool concept and the model is coming along quite well.

I don't think the number of claws is an issue, it's the number of legs that count when it comes to balance...

Cool. Very deft modeling modeling too. My only concern would be getting a triped to walk without either defying gravity or having it stagger. I've seen three legged dogs before so I know its possible, but it doesn't seem practical.

I agree on the colors. They work well, but I would tone down the green myself to more of a military olive drab. But that's just me.

Look forward to seeing this done, which at the pace you're on should be yesterday. user added image

Looking good. Although I love that green from befor, mhcannon's idea of grean would probably work even better I think.
