Game Challenge - Eelco

Well ... it's been over a year I last touched Maya. Yeah ... it's a shame. :shakehead: But I allways kept an eye on the SimplyMaya Challanges. And this challenge is something I really like to do to get back into Maya again.

I think I'll do some rocket launcher. Somthing like the embedded image below. But than a tat more fictional.

Well .. I gave the idea above a try. But there was just no cool design coming out. So I changed the concept of the vehicle. Changed the army truck to a futuristic hovercraft version of the Ford Mustang GT. user added image
Not really sure if I should put the guns on the hood or on the wings. Also not sure if it's gonna be a single or 2-seater.
I've got a whole free week to work on this. Better get busy.

Nice...

Not long left, this finishes in about 12 days, so good luck and glad to seee another budding artist back to Maya.

Pfff ... progress is slow. it's kinda my first time doing anything serious with polygons. Only done NURBS so far. Pretty tough to get something smooth going. Fighting normals and tweeking vertices all time. Anyways .. still not sure what to do; closed/open cockpit or a single seater.

Well wot ever u decide, its looking nice.

I like the open cockpit, bit it would mean more texturing and textures

I received a very shocking news. My grandma, i'm veryx3 close to, has passed away. She was the greatest.... and still is to me.
I'm quite occupied trying to find a airplane ticket back home (Holland) before the funeral. Hope I'll make it cause every flight is booked solid.
Maybe I'll be able to continue this challenge from my hometown. I think that's what she would want me to do.

R.I.P. Grandma ... u're in my heart for ever.

I didn't get the chance to finish this for the challenge. So I'll just continue this as a W.I.P.
