MrTerminator Jan/Feb

Hi, I'm going to model a fantasy guy. He'll be like the guy from zelda. But it won't be himself, because it's not allowed, so I'm only orienting on him. user added image

nice drawing, but it looks a bit too much like link, maybe change some facial features and some clothing features.

Yeah I was wanting to model him as a game model to beat the Twilight Princess version just for kicks. Link is a well designed character and making something like him but of course very different would be cool.

Hey dude, all gotta start somewhere.

Post a wireframe of your head, then we can give you some advice.

One thing you should do is give Jay's topology stickey thread a look in the WIP section, should help you out on laying out the polys, posting in there as well should you some good feedback.

wow thats not as had as I thought it was going to be for a a noob in head-modeling.
good efford.

The edge loops you have going on need to carry on around the head alot more and you need to shape the face details alittle more.

Check out the tuts on here about face looping and you should be fine

I`m not liking the ear though.
What i do is

get a image of an ear
"create polygon" tool around the shape,
then "spit polygon" in the edges of each part.
then Excrude or pull/push the details in to shape.
Attach to head.
I would make a human ear frist then deform it after to an elf like one.
