Introduction to Maya - Rendering in Arnold
This course will look at the fundamentals of rendering in Arnold. We'll go through the different light types available, cameras, shaders, Arnold's render settings and finally how to split an image into render passes (AOV's), before we then reassemble it i

Thanks a lot guys!

I got busy yesterday and today, but my actual Maya work today was lots of tweaking little things. I still have a couple more things to tweak and I need to make the cannons before moving onto the next part of the tut.

Here's the progress so far:

"Um, this isn't Mars. This is Earth."
"Earth? Earth-with-nuclear-weapons Earth?"
"Yes."
[long pause] "Friend!!"

I'm hoping that this won't be obnoxious to UV map, as I'm terrible at UV mapping.

Thanks, Aiko.

Got some work done today. I have 2 parts left on the tutorial and my deadline is either the 30th or the 31st, so that gives me 1-3 days to fix it up after I'm finished with the tuts.

OK, done with the tuts (kinda). Just need to finish putting everything up and make sure that it all fits together.

Yes, finally done with the modeling! :attn: The poly count on this monster is 69,835 without it being duped over.

I just need to dupe it over, sew it up, smooth it, and set up the render. Hopefully my computer will work after that. user added image

I'll probably start the texturing on Monday. Here's the wire:

Here's the finished model. I'm gonna try to start on the UV mapping tomorrow, instead of Monday, just to get a head start on it.

The usual:

If you look on my site, you’ll find the HD pic (which I would highly recommend doing).

C&C welcome!

What parts would you like to see?

Man, that's a nice ship. I wonder how many guys it took to make all that stuff.
