I think I have settled my mind on a hellhound.. I did some research and it seems that from greek mythology theres one called Cerberus - a three headed dog. That dog inspired the people at Harry Potter to do the dog in the first movie..

I have a few ideas how to pose it in mind..

1. let it be sleeping, and guarding the gate to hell.
2. some hot chick or a demon riding its back in a fierce battle posture.
3. maybe something else..

Anyway, for the first time I am gonna play around with clay/wax first. Homemade clay/wax, so I have bought strange ingriedients to make my own clay. I will post pictures of the result if the clay turns out to be of any use.

The reason for trying to make my own clay is that if I am gonna go buy real oil based clay its gonna be extremely expensive since I would need like 1 kilo of it in 1 color!

I'd figured that I would use the clay model (if the homemade clay is working) as reference, by taking pictures of it with my digicam. Its gonna be an exciting process.

I will post the reciepe if it turns out well..

What's your recipe for homemade clay?

Is it like Roma or Klean plasticine?

I'd love to make my own because as you say it's expensive to buy. I'm looking at 20+ kilos.

recipe we used :

Ingriediences :

2 dl. salt (the fine grained one)
5 dl. flour
2 spoons of Alun
1½ spoon of ordinary oil (the one used for eating .. )
5 dl. water

Boil the water, and mix the Alun in it ..
Add salt and oil
Add flour
mix it all well..

its NOT for children since it can't be eaten..

is it going to have 3 or 1 head?

are you also trying to model it with the "clay"?

btw. is the "clay" what we in danish call "trylledej"?

first model view of the head

okay, I have started modeling the head for this beast. I started quite awkwardly on it, so its quite a clean-up job on the base, but its getting there.. slowly.
