Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

Exproting to After Effects.

I am new to Maya (hence the post in the Newbie Forum) and have attended one weeklong seminar on Maya.

To the point:

1) I have a 3d coin I am trying to export into After Effects. I do not know the steps to take in order save in the correct format and give motion to once in After Effects.

2) Will I have the ability to Alpha Channel the Background once the coin is in After Effects?

Any help is surely welcome.

PLEASE HELP!!!

Well.

Go to the render globals and take the render to tiffs or targa image sequences. those will have an alpha contained. jpeg for eg doesn't have one.

just save out the image sequebce and import it as such in ae.

thats it. if i missed sth. sorry for that but right now im drunk. had a great concert tonight and still live my alcoholic dreams.

Is "save out" the same as export?
