Help with Help

I know this sounds pretty stupid, but I can't access the Maya help files from my system.. I have a yahoo broadband connection, which I presume means that i'm working through a proxy server, but I'm not really sure about internet configurations and all that stuff.. I've followed as far as I can the 'help with help' information that Maya offers but to no avail!!! I know I must be doing something stupid wrong, but you only know how stupid when you've figured it out!!! And I NEED those help files!! anyone got any ideas?

I've got the same problem with the help files. I cannot access them and I have followed the Help with Help tips to no avail.

I found all the files zipped on my hard drive in the en_us folder inside maya, so at least I have a temporary solution...

Also, make sure you start the Maya doc server. Sometimes it doesn't start on it's own.
